Opal Divine’s Freehouse 3.6.2010

My boyfriend and I wanted to have a drink and catch up with friends one weekend, but we couldn’t decide where to go. We wanted to try something new, maybe something on West 6th. After browsing lists, maps, etc., we remembered that we’ve been wanting to check out Opal Divine’s on West 6th. It turned out to be the perfect place to go since we didn’t know who might make it or when. The staff was friendly, and they were amazingly flexible about letting us take a large table and maybe spread to another available table later, if necessary. They made no requirements about having to have a percentage of the party before being seated. And all of this on a Saturday night in a busy area like 6th Street.

It was a nice evening for sitting outside on the deck, catching up with friends, and people-watching on a Saturday night. I love the colorful lights strung everywhere and the trees surrounding the restaurant! Additionally, I liked that they had a few local beers on tap, especially 512 Wit, one of my favorite beers right now. If you like wheat beers and you haven’t tried it, you should.
